This is a fascinating topic because Ron Paul is absolutely right about investing in gold.  Gold is not an investment: gold is a storer of value.  The price of gold is not supposed to rise and fall on its own.  In stead, the price of gold is to rise and fall based upon the rise and fall of the dollar.
